Chas Everitt loses top black real estate principal, who has his eye on the international arena.

Rali Mampeule, director of Phadima Group Holdings, has announced the sale of the Chas Everitt International franchise in Midrand, of which he has been principal for just under three years.

He will now head up Phadima Group Holdings’ new venture, Real Assets Living Investment (RALI Properties), which will be pursuing local and international opportunities within the residential property market.

“It has always been my desire to build a genuinely South African real estate company with international aspirations and quality,” says Mampeule.

In 2005, after the results of an extensive study on the property industry had revealed that only 8% of the groups represented were black, Mampeule and his team established the Rali Mampeule Learnership Programme to fast-track the participation of blacks in real estate.

He also won the Nedbank/ Property Association ?Young Lion Award’ in 2005-2006, and was honoured as the Nedbank Property Professional of the Year in 2006-2007, and these achievements helped Chas Everitt Midrand to grow its business.

The strong growth within the residential property industry and the signing of the Property Charter by the Minister of Public Works also provided new possibilities for growth and annual turnover was boosted to more than R350m within two and a half years, he notes.

Mampeule also credits the dedicated team of agency professionals at Chas Everitt Midrand and says that the franchise group’s directors have also positively influenced the growth of the business.

“As I approach a decade of rewarding years in the property industry, it is thus with great sadness, but also with a significant sense of achievement, that I am leaving the Chas Everitt International group,” says Rali.

Chas Everitt International MD Berry Everitt says: “We wish Rali success in his new venture and would like to see him continue achieving in the future.”

Although the parties have terminated their contractual agreement, they plan to continue working together on various real estate projects and to preserve their relationship.
